In lieu of completing all the improvements as required in § 154.081, the subdivider shall furnish the Council with a surety bond, sufficient to cover the cost of any or all of the improvements required to be installed by the subdivider, based on estimates approved by the City Engineer. The intent is to secure the actual construction and installation of such improvements within one year after the approval of the final plat, subject to extension by the Council.
