Upon the conviction of a person for a violation of this section, the wild animal with regard to which the conviction was obtained shall be confiscated and placed in a facility (if not previously confiscated and placed), and the owner thereof and the person convicted shall be responsible for a costs connected with the seizure and confiscation of such wild animal and the boarding of such wild animal from date of seizure to the date the wild animal is no longer boarded for the person so convicted, all in addition to any other penalty permitted by the ordinances of the city.
