It is unlawful hereafter to erect any gas pump or tank in any public street or alley without having first obtained permission from the Council. No such permit shall be issued until the applicant furnishes a bond with corporate surety, conditioned to indemnify the city against any loss or liability occasioned by such pump or tank, in the sum of $5,000.
