§ 44-311 CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.
   Any information gained by the Treasurer, City Clerk or City Manager or any other official or agent or employee of the city as a result of any returns, investigations, hearings or verifications required or authorized by this article shall be confidential, except in accordance with proper judicial order, and any person or agent divulging the information shall, upon conviction, be subject to the penalty of § 1-10, and shall be dismissed from employment by the city upon conviction. Provided, however, the person may disclose to the Commissioner of Revenue of the state or his or her duly authorized agent all information and the right to inspect any of the books and records of the city, if the Commissioner grants to the city the reciprocal right to obtain information from the files and records of the Department of Revenue of the state and maintains the privileged character of the information so furnished to him or her.
