(a) Director.
(1) The director of the diversity and inclusion department shall receive administrative supervision and support from the city manager or his or her designee. The director shall carry out the policy directives of the human relations commission and support the human relations commission in the performance of their duties.
(2) The performance of the director shall be evaluated, in consultation with the human relations commission, the city manager or his or her designee.
(b) Staff.
(1) The director shall supervise all other staff, who shall be governed by the personnel rules of the city and the classification and compensation plan for the city.
(2) The number of staff members shall be determined by the approved budget.
