No person shall park a motor vehicle or trailer upon a public street for a continuous period of more than 48 hours, except as specified in §§ 72.02, 72.05, 72.06 or 72.08 of this chapter or Ch. 74, Schd. II, of this code. If a shorter maximum time period is specified by signs placed by the city, that maximum time period shall apply to the area.
