Whenever the load of any vehicle shall extend more than two feet to the rear of the bed or body thereof, there shall be displayed on the end of such load in such a position as to be plainly visible at all times, a red flag not less than 12 inches in both length and width during the day time; and during the night time, a red light, so displayed as to be plainly visible at least 200 feet to the rear of such vehicle.
