§ 9-2-3 RULES; REGULATIONS.
   The Chief shall have power, by rules adopted by him or her, to:
   (A)   Close temporarily any highway or portion of same or restrict the use thereof when required by public safety and convenience;
   (B)   Designate certain intersections that shall be known as special stop intersections;
   (C)   Designate fire routes and prohibit parking thereon upon certification to him by the Fire Chief that such highway is specially required for use in attending fires;
   (D)   Prohibit turns by vehicles at intersections;
   (E)   Cause limit lines to be marked on pavements and sidewalks for direction of pedestrians and operators;
   (F)   Establish temporarily one-way streets where required by public safety and convenience;
   (G)   Exclude or restrict parking on designated streets when required by public safety and convenience; and
   (H)   Designate certain intersections that shall be known as school crossings.
