(A) A footstone and/or headstone must be placed at each grave. The character of all footstones and headstones shall be subject to such rules and regulations and shall conform to such specifications as the Council may by resolution prescribe.
(B) All monuments, footstones and headstones shall be made of one of the following materials: marble; granite; or monumental bronze. No monuments, headstones or footstones shall be erected without first securing the approval of the Cemetery Supervisor.
(C) A private vault or mausoleum above the natural surface of the ground wherein human remains are to be placed for sepulcher, shall not be permitted.
(D) All interments in the ground, either in vaults or otherwise, shall be in graves not less than five feet in depth and covered only with not less than two feet six inches of earth.
(E) No shrubs, plants, trees, curbing or other articles, except flowers or wreaths or similar unaffixed decorations, shall be placed without the written permission of the Cemetery Supervisor.
(F) Permanent outside receptacles are necessary to encase the casket either in concrete or metal, with the exception of vaults less than three feet in length.
(G) Permanent outside receptacles are necessary to encase cremated remains for burial.
(H) The city will not be responsible for pouring foundations, except for government markers and not responsible for setting stones, except for government markers. All markers shall be accompanied with a collar.
(I) A 24-hour notice is to be given the cemetery department regarding opening a grave and a 48-hour notice be given from December 1 through March 31.
(J) Only human remains will be buried in all city cemeteries.
(K) The city will not be responsible for installing vaults.
(L) An annual cleanup will be set before Memorial Day and one after Memorial Day.
(M) All graves are to be dug by cemetery personnel only.
(N) Only two interments of cremated remains will be permitted on each space.
