§ 7-12-1 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates of requires a different meaning.
   CLASSES OF FIREWORKS.
      (1)   FIRST CLASS FIREWORKS. Fireworks that can be launched and give a loud report upon detonation. Examples include: bottle rockets; firecrackers; Roman candles; and fireworks launched out of a tube (this list may not be an inclusive list and other types of fireworks may be included into this category, per state law).
      (2)   SECOND CLASS FIREWORKS. Fireworks that produce sparks such as larger sparklers, pinwheels and such that do not leave the immediate area from where they are ignited and produce no loud report.
   NOVELTIES. Items such as handheld sparklers, snakes, smoke bombs and party snappers that are not classified as first class or second class fireworks.
