§ 7-10-10 STATUS OF RESERVE OFFICERS.
   Members of the city’s Police Department Reserve Officers Unit shall serve as peace officers on the orders and the discretion of the Chief of Police of the city. While in the actual performance of official duties, members of the city’s Police Department Reserve Officers Unit shall be vested with the same rights, privileges, obligations and duties as any other peace officer for the city.
