§ 7-10-3 MEMBERS OF THE POLICE RESERVE.
   Individuals over the age of 18 shall be appointed to serve on the Police Reserve officers Unit by the Chief of Police, subject to approval of the City Council. All Reserve police officers faithfully patrol their posts while on duty. They shall be charged with the enforcement of all city ordinances and the laws of the state and shall report any violations thereof to the proper authorities. They shall have and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by the Chief of Police. It shall be the duty of Reserve police officers to preserve the public peace and enforce all laws, ordinances and orders of the City Council, the execution of which devolves upon the Police Department of the city. They shall devote their whole time and attention while on duty to the business of the Department and shall at all times be subject to the rules and regulations as prescribed by the Chief of Police or this chapter concerning their conduct and duties.
