§ 7-10-2 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates of requires a different meaning.
   MINIMUM TRAINING COURSE. A curriculum of 150 hours of training and instruction required for certification as a Reserve officer, excluding weapons training.
   RESERVE OFFICERS UNIT. An organization of Reserve peace officers established as provided by this chapter.
   RESERVE POLICE OFFICER. A volunteer, non-regular, sworn member of the city’s Police Department who serves with or without compensation, has regular police powers while functioning as a representative of the city’s Police Department and participates on a regular basis in law enforcement activities including crime prevention and control, preservation of the peace and enforcement of the law.
