§ 7-1-6 REPORT; INVESTIGATION OF ACCIDENTS.
   Each member of the Police Department shall report all accidents that may happen to any person upon any streets, alleys, sidewalks or public grounds of the city, whereby any person shall receive injury to person or property, to the Chief of Police immediately after the happening of such accident, and the Chief of Police shall immediately cause a full and complete investigation of the circumstances attending such accident and report to the City Attorney. The Chief of Police shall cause to be kept a book in which shall be entered the names of every person arrested, the date of arrest, the disposition of the case, the name of the person causing the arrest and a list of any valuable articles found on the person of each person arrested.
