§ 1-7-4 CONSERVATOR OF THE PEACE.
   The Mayor shall be a Conservator of the Peace, and, within the limits of the city, shall have all the powers conferred upon the Sheriff to suppress disorders. He or she may, upon view, arrest anyone deemed guilty of any crime under the laws of the state.
