§ 6-1-3 PROHIBITIONS.
   The following potential sources of contamination of any municipal water well shall not be located or permitted to exist or occur any closer to a municipal water well than hereinafter specified:
   (A)   Wellhouse floor drains to ground surface: five feet;
   (B)   Water treatment plant wastes to ground surface: 50 feet;
   (C)   Sanitary and industrial discharges to ground surface: 200 feet;
   (D)   Floor drains as follows:
      (1)   Floor drains from wellhouse to surface: none within five feet:
         (a)   Five feet to ten feet water main materials enclosed in concrete permitted;
         (b)   Ten feet to 25 feet must be water main material; and
         (c)   Twenty-five feet to 75 feet must be water-tight sewer pipe.
      (2)   Floor drains to sewers, water plant wastes, storm or sanitary sewers or drains:
         (a)   None permitted within 25 feet;
         (b)   If closer than 75 feet, must be water main material; and
         (c)   If between 75 feet and 200 feet, must be water-tight sewer pipe.
   (E)   Sewer force mains:
      (1)   None permitted within 75 feet; and
      (2)   If within 200 feet, must be water main material.
   (F)   Land application of solid waste: 100 feet;
   (G)   Irrigation of wastewater: 100 feet;
   (H)   Concrete vaults and septic tanks: 100 feet;
   (I)   Mechanical wastewater treatment plants: 200 feet;
   (J)   Cesspools and earth pit privies: 200 feet;
   (K)   Soil absorption fields: 200 feet;
   (L)   Lagoons: 200 feet;
   (M)   Chemical application to ground surface: 100 feet:
      (1)   Aboveground chemical or mineral storage: 100 feet; and
      (2)   On or underground chemical or mineral storage: 200 feet.
   (N)   Animal pasturage: 50 feet;
   (O)   Animal enclosure: 100 feet;
   (P)   Animal wastes:
      (1)   Land application of solids: 100 feet;
      (2)   Land application of liquid or slurry: 100 feet;
      (3)   Storage tank: 100 feet;
      (4)   Solids stockpile: 200 feet; and
      (5)   Storage basin or lagoon: 200 feet.
   (Q)   Earthen silage storage trench or pit: 100 feet;
   (R)   Basements, pits, sumps: ten feet;
   (S)   Flowing streams or other surface water bodies: 50 feet;
   (T)   Cisterns: 50 feet;
   (U)   Cemeteries: 200 feet;
   (V)   Private wells: 200 feet; and
   (W)   Solid waste disposal sites: 200 feet.
