§ 5-1-5 CALLS OUTSIDE CORPORATE LIMITS.
   Except for the protection of property owned by the city or to meet emergencies arising on said city owned property, and except for the protection of property which the city has specifically contracted to protect, the Fire and Building Department shall not be dispatched outside the city limits for fighting fires or rendering any other emergency assistance, except upon the request of authorized personnel of the Fire and Building Department of the appropriate district at the scene in which the fire or emergency is located. The amount of equipment and personnel to be dispatched shall be determined by the Chief of the Fire and Building Department or his or her designee, when performing their official duties, giving due regard to the nature of the emergency as well as the need to protect the safety and general welfare of the city.
