§ 4-5-7 DRIVERS REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   All drivers of vehicles hauling persons for hire shall have a city taxicab operator’s license secured by application to the Chief of Police. Each applicant shall be photographed and fingerprinted by the Police Department prior to the issuance of a license. Any person convicted of a “crime of violence” or “sex offense” shall be prohibited from obtaining a license.
   (B)   The Chief of Police shall cause a license to be issued to a person not prohibited by this chapter for a period of one year, for a fee of $25. This license shall be renewable each year thereafter upon the taking of a new photograph and with no change in the criminal status of the operator upon the payment of a $10 fee.
   (C)   All drivers of taxicabs shall prominently display the latest official police photograph at all times within view of the passengers.
   (D)   All fees collected for the services performed by the Police Department shall be deposited with the Clerk.
