(A) When repairs are required that cannot reasonably be completed within the 30-day time frame, the Building Official and the owner of the property may enter into a code compliance agreement. This agreement will allow an extended time frame as determined by the Building Official to make appropriate repairs to a property without penalty provided the owner or contact representative sign an agreement in which the owner agrees to a penalty and lien if the repairs are not completed within the extended time frame. The city shall certify the fee to the property in the same manner as delinquent fees. The agreement shall remain in effect with recurring penalty each 30-day time period after the completion date until repairs are completed.
(B) Compliance agreements shall include the following information:
(1) Description of the rental housing property, including, but not limited to, the street address;
(2) Number and description of all rental housing units on the rental housing property;
(3) Name and current contact information for the owner of the rental housing property;
(4) A list of repairs agreed upon that will be allowed an extended time frame as allowed by this agreement;
(5) Date repairs must be completed by or forfeiture of deposit;
(6) Amount deposited as determined by the Building Official; and
(7) Signature of owner and Building Official.
