Fire hydrants installed after February 22, 1977, shall have been authorized in writing prior to the installation in accordance with the following requirements:
(A) Any person desiring the installation of a fire hydrant on or near his/her property, where the hydrant is intended to be, or might be, used by the public fire protection forces of this city, shall submit a request in writing for authorization for the installation to the City Administrative Officer.
(B) The City Administrative Officer shall forward the application to the Fire Chief who shall determine, or cause to be determined by some other officer or member of the Fire Department, the number and locations of fire hydrants required to provide adequate protection to the property involved, noting this determination upon the request and returning it to the City Administrative Officer.
(C) Following the determination by the Fire Department, the City Administrative Officer shall cause a letter of authorization for the installation to be used to the applicant, and a copy thereof to be forwarded to the Campbell County Water District.
