(A) The use of wood shingles in covering or recovering buildings within the city is prohibited.
(B) Any building now covered with wooden shingles may be repaired with wood shingles, providing the area repaired during any period of five years does not exceed 25% of the entire area of the roof. Otherwise, the entire roof shall be removed and replaced with materials other than wooden shingles.
