§ 71.12 IMMEDIATE REPORT OF ACCIDENTS.
   (A)   The driver of a vehicle involved in an accident resulting in injury to or death of any person, or property damage to an apparent extent of $25 or more, shall immediately by the quickest means of communication, either verbal or written, give notice of the accident to the Police Department if the accident occurs within the city.
   (B)   The vehicles involved in the accident shall remain at the scene of the accident until a police officer has arrived to investigate the accident unless it is necessary to use one of the vehicles to remove injured parties.
