§ 53.04 NUMBER OF COLLECTIONS; COLLECTION VEHICLES.
   (A)   The town, or its duly authorized agent, shall collect all garbage and refuse once each week from residences within the town, providing such garbage and refuse is deposited in proper containers and placed on the street curb or at the edge of an all-weather alley or in a location and at a time as designated by the town, or its collecting agency, unless otherwise approved by the Town Council. Said collection shall be scheduled between 6:00 a.m. local time and 7:00 p.m. local time, on any single day of collection. All owners, occupants, and lessees of any premises are thus required to have garbage and refuse deposited in proper containers and placed at proper locations as provided herein in a timely manner so that collection of said garbage and refuse can occur between said times.
   (B)   Garbage and refuse must not exceed a total of 90 gallons per week per approved container, and must be placed in a heavy duty roll-out cart of no more than 90 gallon capacity, said cart to be made available by the town or its agent. A residence may request the town or its agent, upon written request to the town, to provide extra containers. All such containers shall be kept in a sanitary condition. Garbage and refuse shall be carefully drained and wrapped before depositing in approved containers, and other articles of unwieldy size or shape will only be acceptable for collection if they are broken or cut down to size suitable for handling and transporting. The Town Council shall have authority to prescribe the maximum size and weight thereof from time to time and have final authority for deciding if garbage is properly prepared. Any such container shall be sufficiently closed to eliminate the spillage of garbage and refuse.
