290.07 WORK PERIOD.
   The work week for all employees of the City, except sworn fire and police personnel, is hereby established at forty hours a week, from 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday to 7:00 a.m. on the following Wednesday, beginning March 20, 1986, at 7:00 a.m. The City selects the options provided in Section 207(K) of the U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act, as amended, for the sworn members of the Police Department and of the Fire Department not exempted by said Act, effective April 15, 1986. The work period for all sworn employees of the Police Department shall be twenty-eight days and shall consist of 171 hours. The work period for all sworn employees of the Fire Department shall be twenty-seven days and shall consist of 204 hours.
