This chapter shall be administered in accordance with applicable law, including but not limited to the federal Telecommunications Act of 1996, the Federal Communications Act (47 U.S.C. § 332) as amended, section 6409 of the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012 (47 U.S.C. § 1455(a)), in accordance with rules promulgated by the Federal Communications Commission, and generally with G.S. Ch. 160D, Art. 9, Part 3. If any portion of this chapter currently is in conflict with existing law, or due to amendment comes into conflict with existing law, it shall be interpreted and enforced so as to conform with such federal or state law as necessary.
