As provided by G.S. § 160D-1203(7), the cost of any repairs, alterations or improvements, or of vacating and closing, or removal or demolition, caused to be made or done by the codes administrator pursuant to § 157.040 shall be a lien against the real property upon which such cost was incurred. The lien shall be filed, having priority, and be collected in the same manner as the lien for special assessments established by G.S. §§ 160A-216 through 160A-238.
