Except where a different penalty is specifically provided for within any section of this chapter, the violation of any provision of this chapter, except where some other penalty is clearly indicated, shall constitute a Class 3 misdemeanor, punishable upon conviction by a fine not exceeding $50 or imprisonment not exceeding 30 days, as provided in G.S. § 14-4.
