§ 95.82 OTHER SOLICITATIONS PROHIBITED.
   Except as authorized by this chapter, no person shall stand on any street, highway, or right-of- way excluding sidewalks while soliciting, or attempting to solicit, any employment, business, or contributions from the driver or occupants or any vehicle. However, nothing in this chapter shall be construed to prohibit engaging in the distribution of newspapers on the non-traveled portion of any street or highway, except when those distribution activities impede the normal movement of traffic on the street or highway. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to restrict or prohibit the activities of licensees, employees, or contractors of the Department of Transportation or of the town when engaged in construction or maintenance or in making traffic or engineering surveys.
