(A) Stop signs shall be placed at such intersections of streets as directed by the Mayor.
(B) Every motor vehicle, or vehicle of any kind, approaching any intersection of any street where any stop sign appear, shall be brought to a stop by the operator of the vehicle before the vehicle shall pass the sign and before he or she shall attempt to come onto the intersecting street or cross same.
