(A) When turning to the right at an intersection of highways, vehicles shall keep to the right of the center, and in turning to the left, shall pass to the left of the center, keeping, however, as far to the right as is possible to do so and still pass to the left of the center. In this division (A), CENTER means the meeting point of the medial lines of the two highways.
(B) Except as stated in divisions (C), (D), (E), (F) and (G) below, or where otherwise directed by a traffic officer, the operator of a vehicle shall yield the right-of-way at the intersection of their paths to a vehicle approaching from the right unless the vehicle approaching from the right is further from the point of intersection of their paths than the first named vehicle.
(C) A vehicle being operated upon any inter- county seat highway, designated state highway or boulevard, or any street which by ordinance has been designated as being equal in importance to a boulevard, need not yield the right-of-way to a vehicle approaching from the right where such a highway intersects another highway of lesser class. Any vehicle operated on the lesser class highway shall stop before entering a highway of a higher class, except as provided in division (F) below.
(D) Except as provided in division (F) below, the driver of a vehicle shall stop at the entrance to a through highway and shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered the intersection from the through highway or which are approaching so closely on the highway as to constitute an immediate hazard, but the driver having so yielded may proceed and the drivers of all other vehicles approaching the intersection on the through highway shall yield the right-of-way to the vehicle so proceeding into or across the through highway.
(E) The driver of a vehicle shall likewise stop in obedience to a stop sign at an intersection where a stop sign is erected at one or more entrances to the intersection although part of a through highway does not form the intersection. He or she shall proceed cautiously, yielding to vehicles not so obliged to stop which are within the intersection or approaching so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard, but may then proceed.
(F) Whenever it is determined, upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation at an intersection, that the assignments of rights-of-way described in divisions (B), (C), (D) and (E) above are more restrictive than necessary for the safe and efficient control of that intersection’s vehicular and pedestrian movements, yield right-of-way signs may be installed on one or more of the intersection approaches for the purpose of assigning right-of-way. The driver of a vehicle, in obedience to a yield right-of-way sign, shall yield right-of-way to vehicles and pedestrians not so obliged to yield or stop which are within the intersection or approaching so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard; but such driver, having so yielded, may proceed at such time as a safe interval occurs.
(G) The driver of a vehicle about to enter or cross a highway from a private road or driveway shall yield the right-of-way to all vehicles approaching on the highway.
