§ 54.09 TESTING OF METERS AND ALLOCATION OF COST.
Any customer who has reason to suspect that their water meter is defective or malfunctioning, may request that the meter be pulled, replaced and tested. Should the test reveal that the meter is functioning properly, the customer shall be required to reimburse the city for the cost of changing out the meter and the cost of testing. Such costs may be added to the customers next monthly water and sewer bill. If the test reveals that the meter is defective or malfunctioning, then the city shall be responsible for the cost associated with the changeout, and shall adjust the customer’s bill in accordance with current city policy.
