5-3-4: METERS:
   A.   Meters Required; Charges: All premises using city water must be equipped with an adequate water meter which will be furnished by the city upon payment of the following installation charges:
      1.   For residential type three-fourths inch (3/4") size meters, the fees shall be set by resolution.
      2.   For commercial type meters of a size larger than three-fourths inch (3/4") meter, the charges shall be determined by the mayor and the city council.
   B.   Installation: All meters shall be installed under the direction of the superintendent and subject to his approval.
   C.   Reading Meters:
      1.   The superintendent shall read or cause to be read every water meter used in the city at such times as are necessary that the bills may be sent out at the proper time.
      2.   The superintendent shall have access to any building at any reasonable hour for the purpose of inspection of any part of the water system.
   D.   Testing Meters: Any city water meter shall be taken out and tested upon complaint of the consumer, upon payment of a fee of ten dollars ($10.00). If upon test the meter is not within three percent (3%) of being accurate, it shall be repaired or replaced and the ten dollar ($10.00) fee returned to the customer. (Ord., 11-12-2014)
