A. The city adopts the following uniform or model codes and standards, as though fully set forth herein, for the purpose of regulating the erection, construction, enlargement, alteration, repair, moving, removal, conversion, demolition, and occupancy of buildings and structures in the city. The city adopts the international building code in its current version (2009) and as the same may be amended from time to time in the future. The city also adopts the international residential code, the international mechanical code, international fuel gas code, international fire code, and international energy conservation code. In addition, the city adopts, as administered by the state of Idaho, the international plumbing code and international electrical code.
B. All construction, alteration. repair, and demolition within the city requiring a permit or inspection shall be performed according to the codes adopted herein.
C. The city council may direct, from time to time, that a portion or portions of said uniform or model codes shall not apply within the city. The city clerk shall maintain a current list, available to the public, of the applicable building and related codes. (Ord. 2011-9-14, 9-14-2011)
