There is established in the city the office of Building Inspector. The Building Inspector shall be appointed by the Mayor and he shall hold office at the pleasure of the Mayor. The Building Inspector shall have the powers, rights, duties, and authority, and shall perform those services that may be provided, detailed, or outlined in any ordinance now or hereafter in effect. He is designated and authorized to enforce the provisions of this chapter.
