§ 35.02  BONDS, SALARIES OF CITY OFFICIALS.
   (A)   Bonds and salaries for city officials shall be those amounts specified by state statute or by ordinance of the Common Council. ('75 Code, § 4.01)
   (B)   Surety bonds.
      (1)   Notwithstanding division (A) above, the amount of the surety bond for individuals who must file and maintain a surety bond pursuant to I.C. 5-4-1-18(a)(7) is set at $5,000.
      (2)   The purchase of a blanket bond, a schedule bond (by name or position) and/or a crime insurance policy that are endorsed to cover faithful performance and include aggregate coverage sufficient to cover all officers, employees, commission members, and persons acting on behalf of the local government unit required to be bonded, including officers, employees, and contractors described in I.C. 5-4-1-18, is hereby authorized and approved.
   (C)   The annual salaries of the Mayor, Clerk-Treasurer, and the City Judge, shall be paid in 26 equal installments, payable bi-weekly on Friday, for services rendered to such dates.  In the event the due date falls on a legal holiday, payment shall be made on the working day preceding.
   (D)   The annual salaries of the members of the Common Council and compensation for Firemen's Pension, Police Pension, and Utility Retirement, shall be paid in 12 equal monthly installments, payable on the first day of each month.  In the event the due date falls on a legal holiday, Saturday, or Sunday, payment shall be made on the working day preceding.
   (E)   The salaries of each and all appointive officers and employees of the city shall be paid to the officers and employees bi-weekly, on Friday.  In the event the due date falls on a legal holiday, payment shall be made on the working day preceding.
   (F)   All employees of city working by the hour or whose annual salary is not fixed shall be paid bi-weekly on Friday, after the employee's supervisor has filed with the Clerk-Treasurer a signed payroll voucher.  In the event the due date falls on a legal holiday, payment shall be made on the working day preceding.
   (G)   All warrants drawn by the Clerk-Treasurer for the payment of the salaries, wages, or compensation of officers or employees of the city shall be approved by the Board of Public Works and Safety, Utility Services Board, or proper Pension Board.
