The Clerk-Treasurer shall number the license issued to the owner or operator of the taxicab and specify in the license the maximum number of persons that shall be carried at any one time in the vehicle and the fare to be charged. The owner or operator of the vehicle shall keep or cause the license to be kept conspicuously in view on each automobile operated by him or his agents or employees so that the license may be easily read. It shall be unlawful to operate any such vehicle at anytime without the information being displayed.
