(A) The following fees shall be paid by the owners.
(1) $25 for the first taxicab or automobile for hire.
(2) $5 for the second taxicab or automobile for hire.
(B) Licenses issued under this chapter shall extend for a period of one year, beginning January l each year, and no license shall be issued for less than one year. In the case of licenses issued after October 1 of each year, one-half of the above fees shall be paid.
