§ 97.05  TREE-TRIMMING REQUIREMENTS.
   (A)   All persons owning real estate adjacent to, or adjoining with any of the dedicated rights-of-way for city streets and alleys within the corporate limits of the city, are required to mow and maintain the grass and care for and maintain all trees in the area between the extension of their respective property lines to the centerline of the street or alley rights-of-way.  (Ord. 86-21, passed 10-27-86)
   (B)   It shall be the duty of persons owning real estate adjacent to any street or avenue within the corporate limits of the city on which shade trees have been or may hereafter be planted to cause the trees to be properly trimmed so that no limbs or foliage shall extend nearer than eight feet of the adjacent sidewalk, gutter, or street.
   (C)   Whenever any property owner shall fail for ten days to trim the trees, after being notified by the City Street Superintendent, the Street Superintendent shall cause the trees to be trimmed at the expense of the property owner, and the amount of the expense shall be a lien against the real estate affected thereby.
