§ 34.05  REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION.
   (A)   Pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-3, the Council hereby establishes the City of Frankfort Department of Redevelopment (the “Department”), for the purposes and to exercise the powers set forth in I.C. 36-7-14 and I.C. 36-7-25 (collectively, the “Act”) or otherwise granted by law. The Department will be controlled by, and the Common Council hereby reestablishes, a board of five members to be known as the City of Frankfort Redevelopment Commission (the “Redevelopment Commission”), two of whom shall be appointed by the Council and three of whom shall be appointed by the Mayor of the city. Each member of the Redevelopment Commission must be at least 18 years of age, and must be a resident of the city.
   (B)   Pursuant to I.C. 36-7-14-6.1, the Mayor of the city shall appoint an individual to serve as a nonvoting advisor to the Redevelopment Commission who must be a member of the school board of a school corporation that includes all or a part of the territory served by the Redevelopment Commission.
