§ 90.50  DISPOSITION OF DISEASED OR RABID ANIMALS.
   (A)   Any animal impounded, for any reason, who appears to any duly-licensed veterinarian to have any infectious or contagious disease, other than rabies, may be destroyed forthwith.
   (B)   Any animal apprehended and impounded for having bitten a person, being suspected of having bitten a person, or appearing to have rabies, shall not be redeemed by the owner within ten days, but instead shall be kept under observation in a veterinarian's office or hospital for ten days at the owner's expense, unless the animal shall sooner die.  At the expiration of the ten day period the animal may be redeemed by the owner or some other person as provided in § 90.10(A), upon showing that the animal has a current city license tag and rabies vaccination tag, a paid receipt of all medical expenses created by the animal, and by payment of fees and charges subject to § 90.49.
