Violations of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine of not less than $10 and no more than $500. Whenever possible under the provisions of the laws of the state, operator's or chauffeur's licenses of persons convicted of a third violation of this chapter shall be suspended or revoked for whatever period of time, within the discretion of the trial judge, is deemed advisable.
