The following streets shall hereafter be preferential streets. It shall be unlawful to cross these streets or to enter upon them from any intersecting street, alley, or private driveway with any motor vehicle without the vehicle being brought to a stop within 15 feet of a line made by a continuation of the curb lines of the preferential streets across intersecting streets, alleys, or private driveways. Any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate any of the provisions of this schedule, upon the determination of any police officer of the City Police Department that the vehicle impedes the orderly flow of traffic or constitutes a traffic hazard or a public nuisance, the officer shall have the authority to tow away the vehicle.
