All ordinances passed by the Common Council shall be recorded by the Clerk-Treasurer in a book of ordinances. The due proof of publication of all ordinances requiring publication by affidavit of the printer or publisher shall be procured by the Clerk-Treasurer and maintained in the office of the Clerk-Treasurer.
