(A) General. The following words and terms shall, for the purposes of this subchapter and as stated elsewhere in this code, have the meanings shown herein, unless such a term is otherwise defined by the rules of the Commission. In the event, the definition contained in the rules of the Commission shall govern. (Definitions shall refer to the code in effect at the time of construction, installation, or alteration.)
BATHROOM. An area including a basin and one or more of the following: a toilet, tub, or shower.
PLUMBING. The practice, materials and fixtures utilized in the installation, maintenance, extension and alteration of all piping, fixtures, appliances and appurtenances within the scope of the Indiana Plumbing Code.
PLUMBING FIXTURE. A receptacle or device which is permanently connected to the water distribution system of the premises, and demands a supply of water therefrom; or discharges waste water, liquid-borne waste materials, or sewage either directly or indirectly to the drainage system of the premises; or which requires both a water supply connection and discharge to the drainage system of the premises or shall refer to the code in effect at the time of construction, installation, or alteration.
TOILET ROOM. A room containing a water closet or urinal but not a bathtub, shower, or basin.
