Any person who shall violate any provision of this chapter or who shall fail to comply with any order issued under this chapter, or who shall fail to comply with or to obtain any permit required hereunder, shall be subject to the penalties prescribed in this chapter. After each ten days a violation continues, it shall constitute an additional violation, provided however that the penalty for any violation shall not exceed $2,500.
