(A) As authorized by I.C. 36-8-17, there is hereby established a Division of Fire Prevention and a Division of Fire Investigation within the Frankfort Fire Department.
(B) The Fire Chief shall appoint the head of these Divisions and their title will be Division Captain of Inspections and Division Captain of Investigations, with approval of the Board of Works and Public Safety.
(1) The Division Captains of the Inspection Division and Investigation Division established within the Frankfort Fire Department shall be respectively responsible for the enforcement of codes, laws, statutes and regulations for safeguarding property from fire and explosion and for finding the origin and cause of fires that have occurred. They shall have jurisdiction within the Frankfort Fire Department’s coverage area; and
(2) Each township that contracts fire protection coverage with the Frankfort Fire Department.
