(A) For the purposes of prescribing regulations to protect lives and property from the hazards of fire and explosion, the most current edition of the Life Safety Code, N.F.P.A 101 is hereby adopted. The provisions of the Life Safety Code shall be controlling within the corporate limits of the city, and the fire protection zones outside the city with whom the city has fire protection contracts.
(B) There shall be maintained in the following offices copies of the Life Safety Code:
(1) One in the office of City Clerk-Treasurer.
(2) One in the office of the City Engineer.
(3) One in the office of the Chief of the Fire Department.
