§ 93.002  DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
   CLASS 1 STRUCTURE. Buildings and structures as defined in the 675 IAC 12-6.
   CLASS 2 STRUCTURE. Buildings  and structure as defined in the 675 IAC 12- 6.
   COMMISSION. The Indiana Fire Prevention and Building Safety Commission created pursuant to I.C. 22-12-2.
   EMERGENCY VEHICLE. A vehicle such as a fire truck, ambulance or police car, with properly trained personnel, responding to an urgent need for assistance.
   FIRE DEPARTMENT. The Frankfort Fire Department and the fire prevention or protection services within the boundaries of the Frankfort Fire Protection Area.
   FIRE DISTRICT. The normal fire protection district both incorporated and unincorporated covered by the Franklin Fire Department.
   FIRE INSPECTOR. The administrative head of a Fire Prevention/Code Enforcement Division.
   FIRE OFFICIAL. The Fire Chief or his or her designee.
   FIRE PREVENTION DIVISION.  The Fire Prevention Division established by this chapter for the Frankfort Fire Department.
   HAZARDOUS CONDITION.  The presence of a structural condition, equipment, utility connection, material which constitutes or poses a recognized threat of fire or other injury to persons or property.
   KEY BOX. “Listed” box, size and style, approved by the Fire Official that meets the requirements and uses the same security key code adopted by the Fire Department.
   KEY SWITCH. A UL type switch, approved by the Fire Official that operates from the approved security key code utilized by the Fire Department.
   PRIVATE DWELLING.  A building used exclusively as the personal residence of one or two families.
   PROTECTION DISTRICTS. Those areas within the city or township assigned to or contracted for service by the Franklin Fire Department.
   RESPONSIBLE PARTY. The person(s) charged with the responsibility for the occupancy, building or business owner.
   SECURITY CAP. A Fire Department connection (FDC) plug and cap approved for use in the city by the Fire Official utilizing two and one-half inch National Standard Thread Pattern.
   SECURITY PADLOCK. A padlock approved by the Fire Official, that utilizes the approved key code utilized by the Fire Department.
