(a) Written permission is required for waterfowl hunting at Fostoria Reservoirs 5 and 6. At Fostoria Reservoirs 1, 2, 3 and 4, waterfowl hunting is prohibited. Permission slips can be obtained from the Parks and Recreation Director at 269 E. Jackson St., Fostoria, Ohio. Sportsmen must request the permits in person.
(b) All federal and state rules and regulations apply as published by ODNR Division of Wildlife.
(c) Parking is required in designated areas only.
(d) Observation of posted safety zones when discharging firearms is required.
(e) Hunting is prohibited from tops of grassy slopes of dikes where a road is located at the base of a dike.
(f) Dogs are required to be leashed except during the actual retrieval of the waterfowl.
(g) Hunting waterfowl by boat must be in accordance with Section 951.03(b).
(h) Waterfowl hunting without permission is in violation of Ohio R.C. 1533.17, is a misdemeanor of the third degree and a violator will be charged with this in addition to the charges in Section 951.99 of this chapter.
(i) Under Ohio R.C. 1533.181, the City is exempt from liability to recreational users. (Ord. 2000-39. Passed 5-2-00.)
