§ 74.99 PENALTY.
   (A)   Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter, not subject to another penalty, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be subject to a fine of not less than $100, nor more than $750. Each day there is a violation of any of the provisions hereof shall be deemed a separate offense.

   (B)   Violation of § 74.02 is a petty offense and upon conviction thereof shall be a fine in an amount of not less than $50 nor more than $500, and the owner shall be required to make disposition on the vehicle. Each day such violation is committed or permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense. A person is absolutely liable for the conduct described without regard to having a mental state.
